Philosophy for Noah’s Ark

So that our children may...

“Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ”.

II Peter 3:18

WE BELIEVE...

...Responding to the needs of parents and children is an integral part of the mission and ministry of the congregation.  In meeting these needs, programs are designed to involve congregational members, the community, the family and the child.

WE BELIEVE...

...Education and child care supplement to enhance the nurture already present in the home.  The parent is the primary teacher.  Programs are developed to help support and encourage the parents in their role.

WE BELIEVE...

...Education and childcare are significant opportunities we have for congregational ministry into the community.

WE BELIEVE...

... “The young child is a gift from God.”  Psalm 127:3

...And learns best about God’s world through experimentation and exploration.  Therefore, the early childhood program plans developmentally appropriate activities and values play as an avenue for learning.  While learning is encouraged, it is never hurried.

WE BELIEVE...

...Each child is a unique and special child of God and we encourage his/her self-esteem and individuality whereby children may find identity, purpose and power for their life in Christ by living in the knowledge of Him as their Lord and Savior.

WE BELIEVE...

...Education and childcare provide a warm and loving Christ-centered environment where children can develop to his/her fullest potential.

Noah’s Ark Programming...flexibility to fit the needs of working families!!

We are open Monday through Friday

From 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Infant Care

This program welcomes babies between the ages of 0 and 2 years.  A very low ratio enables staff to interact with individual babies throughout the day.  Whole child development is built through showing Jesus’ love, muscle development, music and social playtime.

 Toddler Care

Our program welcomes children 2 to 3 years old.  A low staff to child ratio builds each child’s development, through Jesus time, muscle development, creative expression, and playtime, which enables the child to grow socially and as a unique individual created by God.

For preschool aged children spending their day with us, the afternoon is less structured for growing socially and as an individual.  Day care fees are contracted at the time of enrollment.

Before and After School

The purpose of this program is to meet the childcare needs of parents who cannot be home when their elementary age children are not in school.  With the best interests of the children at heart, this program is designed to provide older children a safe, Christian environment to come and unwind, have breakfast or snack, recreate, do homework and strengthen friendships, while being supervised by a loving staff, sensitive to the needs of school-aged children.

Transportation is provided for elementary age students to and from Clarinda Community and Clarinda Lutheran Schools by the Clarinda school buses.

We are open Monday through Friday

From 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
